Dear Kaori,

Last night around 8:20 p.m. when I was watching
Japanese drama DVD of "
のだめのカンタビレ" (click in for photo)
with my kids, an EMS postman rang my doorbell.

"Wei~i ?" Mandarin hello from my daughter to the
        postman through the doorbell phone.

"A package for Ms. Chen!" answered the postman
        loudly.
" ??? ... " My daughter could not realize it right away.

However, the postman's voice over the air was
so loud that I could also hear him clearly without
through the phone.

"I'll get it. Tell him to wait a second."

As soon after telling my daughter that, as I got up
immediately from my cozy bed-couch, "grabbed"
my stamp, put on coat, and "slipped" down stairs to
the postman.

"What is it?" asked I with passing him my stamp.
"From Japan," replied the postman, stamping on his
        EMS lists.
"You (EMS) do the night service?" I took back
        the stamp.
"Just our night duty." He passed me the package.

After my "Thank you!" to him, I "flew" upstairs home
to kids with quick beats in my heart, happily of course.

"What is it inside?" My daughter, Joy, was curious
        and excited.
"Hmm, green tea, the bill reads."
    "What is green tea?"
"It is famous and delicious Japanese green tea, but
I am not quite sure the Japanese way of
        making green tea."
    "Open it up!"
"Ok after we finish watching DVD."

I would like her to be as patient as I.
My heart still beat quickly then.

The box in elegant red wrap-paper came out from the
EMS package coat.

"Wow! Beautiful !!!" Joy admired and continued:
         "Open it up!"
    "Just be patient, sweetie."

The red wrap-paper was too pretty to tear it off,
so I cut it along the adhesive tape sticked any places
on the paper very carefully and slowly with a sharp
small knife.

"Kaori seems to be very good at gift-wrapping skills !"
Joy admired again and continued: "Mommy, I envy you
so much that you got so nice gift from your Japanese
friend !"

"Is Kaori beautiful ?" Joy asked me another question.
    "Yes, she is very beautiful."
"Do you heve her photo? May I see her looking?"
"Yes, I have her photo, and I can show you as soon
       as I find it."
    "Oh yeah !!! I can't wait !"

After opening the red wrap-paper, there came out
the "wow" nice red box:

    The cover words said:

Here we are: I was ready to open the box (quick
hearbeats). Ho ho ho!!! Wow wow wow !!! Look at it~

The "layers" were also elegant with pleasant image.

I think that those words down on the tea pack (right side)
were very good, so I featured and enlarged the area:

The New Year card was hidden behind the tea pack,
and that surprised me, too!

There is a cake inside the green box (left side).
Joy said: "Hope that I can eat it now!"
I said: "You and Sam will be Grandmother's home this
weekend. We may enjoy it together on Sunday evening
        when you are both back."

"I knew it," said Joy, a little disappointed.

Surely I read the greeting card. So cute it is! It's just
for Chinese tradition by "Cow year" this turn.

Thank you a billion, Kaori !!!!! This New Year gift really
surprised and pleased me with my kids as well.
